The UFC is well-known for having a full weekly schedule of events, yet occasionally they may take a break due to the American holidays on November 25, 2023, declaring no fight card yet.
Thanksgiving is a national holiday in the United States, therefore this weekend is an example since there isn’t a planned Fight Night or pay-per-view event. In light of this, it seems sense that the MMA leader chose not to have an event over the weekend, since they may have noticed a drop in their television viewership.
Which Fighters Will Be Featured In The Next UFC Event
The next event, UFC on ESPN 52, isn’t happening for another week. It’s set to happen on Saturday, December 2nd at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. The main event will feature a lightweight match with Beneil Dariush, ranked No. 4, and Arman Tsarukyan, ranked No. 8.
While Arman Tsarukyan will be trying to continue his winning run and get himself back into the championship picture at 155 pounds, Beneil Dariush will be trying to get over his defeat to former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira this past June.
UFC on ESPN 52 is set to be an intriguing show with a number of famous combatants in addition to the lightweight main event. Notable fighters in the main event include former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo, who will compete against No. 8 rated Rob Font in bantamweight, and former TUF winner Kelvin Gastelum, who will make his welterweight debut against No. 9 ranked Sean Brady.
Due to the presence of past champions competing, the preliminary round of the tournament promises to be as thrilling. In the main event’s preliminary round, former Strikeforce lightweight champion Clay Guida will compete against Joaquim Silva, while former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate will make her comeback to 135 pounds to take on Julia Avila, rated No. 13.
As they continue to fill up the pay-per-view cards for the first quarter of 2024, it will be fascinating to see whether the campaign has any major news in store.
