Ronda Rousey: UFC News: UFC’s Women’s division has achieved remarkable success, owing to numerous factors, one of which is undoubtedly the trailblazing Ronda Rousey. As the first female fighter to sign with UFC, Rousey carved out a legendary career, dominating the division for a prolonged period. However, her reign came to an end when Holly Holm famously dethroned her. As Holm prepares to face Mayra Bueno Silva at UFC Vegas 77 amidst rumors of Rousey’s return, she has declared her willingness to take on the former champion once more.

Holly Holm is ready to take on Ronda Rousey
Ahead of the highly anticipated Holly Holm vs Mayra Bueno Silva matchup this weekend, a pre-fight press conference took place. During which Holm was quizzed about the rumored return of Ronda Rousey to UFC’s 135 or 145 weight class. When asked if she would be willing to face Rousey again if she came back, Holm gave her thoughts on the matter.
She stated, “You know, I don’t know if she will really come back. Who knows if it is just talk? I know she is a very competitive person, there’s a reason why she was an Olympian and a reason why she was a champion for so long.”
She added, “So, I would absolutely revisit that fight at either weight. I don’t really think it is an advantage or disadvantage depending on the weight. I think either one. We will see if she comes back, I know she has been pretty busy with her life and whatever she wants to do, more power to her. But, if she comes back, that would be great to fight again.” (4:08)
For those who are new to the world of UFC, it’s important to note that Holm’s career has been defined by her awe-inspiring upset victory over Rousey at UFC 193 in November 2015. Although Holm has remained a consistent presence in the UFC rankings since that historic win, it is the memory of her triumph over Rousey that remains most vivid in the minds of fight fans.
Following her defeat to Holm, Rousey relinquished her title and attempted to compete once more, only to suffer yet another loss. Since then, Rousey has been absent from the octagon, leaving fans eagerly anticipating her possible return. If she does come back, it would be a thrilling spectacle to witness and intriguing to watch where she picks up from after her earlier successes in the sport.
