Meanwhile, Dana White has clarified his role in the scenario, citing that Francis Ngannou turned down an offer that would have made him the highest-paid heavyweight in UFC history. Now that ‘The Predator’ is officially gone from the UFC, here’s a look at some of his best moments in the promotion.

Francis Ngannou Best UFC moments: Becoming the UFC heavyweight champion

Following four knockout wins in a row, Francis Ngannou earned a shot at redemption against champion (then) Stipe Miocic at UFC 260. The ‘Predator’ appeared different from how he looked in the first fight against Miocic. After a slow and composed performance in round one, Francis Ngannou knocked out Miocic in round two and became the UFC heavyweight champion.

Francis Ngannou, Kamaru Usman, Israel Adesanya- Three African Kings

Things change in the blink of an eye and that is exactly how we can describe the current UFC landscape. A year ago, Francis Ngannou, Israel Adesanya, and Kamaru Usman held the UFC heavyweight, middleweight, and welterweight titles respectively. However, neither of them is a champion right now.

The three African champions grabbed enormous attention as world titlists. That said, Usman lost his strap via knockout against Leon Edwards and will rematch him in March for the belt. Israel Adesanya also lost his middleweight title via TKO to Alex Pereira, while Ngannou has vacated his belt and walked out of the promotion.
