As anticipated, Ngannou travelled to Austin, Texas to meet with Joe Rogan and attend to other obligations. Francis made a revelation during his interview with the UFC commentator that will surprise a lot of people and has put the onus of making the next step squarely on Dana White’s shoulders. That’s right, Ngannou mentioned a prospective matchup with Jon Jones, a battle that the world as a whole really wants to see but which Dana White has so far refused to provide.

Joe Rogan was really excited as he quizzed Francis Ngannou on his new PFL deal. Joe misinterpreted and thought Francis Ngannou didn’t sign a contract at one point in the video. Francis instantly corrected him and said that he had really renewed his contract in May. Despite this, the PFL’s public face dropped a bomb when he said the PFL was willing to make the match between him and Jon Jones happen.

Dana White was the one who refused to give Francis Ngannou what he requested from the new contract if we are exact about what truly transpired. When asked about Ngannou in recent weeks, White has been more sympathetic and has even wished him well as he discussed his forthcoming fight with Tyson Fury. Francis’s recent discussion, though, might not be as simple as it first appears. Since he won’t be in charge, Dana White might not be as eager to permit this, although there is a slim possibility that it might happen under unique circumstances. Obviously, we’re referring to the elusive heavyweight MMA match between Jones and Ngannou.
