“This is a fight I wanted for a very long time, the only fight I wanted, and I finally got it. Nothing better than Madison Square Garden,” said Miocic. “The venue is just amazing, pretty pumped! Mindset’s still I’m gonna go out there and do my thing and beat that a**!”

Miocic acknowledges that Jones is a veteran fighter with many tricks up his sleeve, but he is confident in his own abilities and says that he knows what to do as well. He also notes that it is difficult to judge Jones’ performance at heavyweight based on his last fight, which was a dominating performance against Ciryl Gane, as the fight was over quickly.

Jones, who returned to the Octagon in March after a three-year layoff, won the vacant heavyweight title against Gane via first-round submission at UFC 285.

With the win, Jones now holds the heavyweight title in addition to his record-setting run at light heavyweight, where he had 11 successful title defenses, tying the UFC record with Demetrious Johnson. On the other hand Miocic, who has a professional record of 20-4.

The fight between Jones and Miocic promises to be a battle between two of the most decorated fighters in UFC history, with Jones having the most wins in UFC title fights ever (15) and Miocic being a former two-time heavyweight champ.

Fans are already eagerly anticipating the matchup, and November 11 can’t come soon enough for fight enthusiasts.
