UFC 293 delivered an electrifying PPV that had fans on the edge of their seats, especially after witnessing this year’s most jaw-dropping upset. Sean Strickland pulled off a seemingly miraculous win, toppling Israel Adesanya and clinching the UFC middleweight championship. Meanwhile, Brazilian fighter Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, who once landed a head kick on Strickland, took to Instagram to taunt him with a mocking post.

Even though Strickland clinched the championship and received praise from all around the world given nobody saw his victory coming. And the way he dominated the match was truly impressive; it was like a one-sided beatdown as he just kept on striking relentlessly. This performance earned him even more praise. However, the Brazilian fighter who had previously beaten Strickland is now taunting him, calling him his “child” and asked him to give credit.

On Instagram, Elizeu Capoeira posted a video of Strickland winning by head kick and in a mocking way he congratulated “Tarzan” on becoming the UFC world champion. However, Capoeira expressed disappointment that Strickland never thanked him for encouraging him to move up in weight class to the middleweight division. In an insulting voice, Capoeira claimed that this is just how life is and that our children ultimately belong to the world, calling Strickland his child given the fact that he had ko’ed him in his matchup.

For those unfamiliar, back in 2018 at UFC 224, on the Nunes vs. Pennington card, Dos Santos dominated Strickland in a welterweight bout, finishing the match with a head kick in the first round. This impressive win led Dos Santos to taunt Strickland, referring to him as his “child,” and demanded recognition. Since then, Strickland moved up to the middleweight class, and now he holds the championship title.
