Elon Musk Accused of Hacking UFC: MMA Reporter Puts a Massive Blame on Tesla CEO

Amy Kaplan is an MMA reporter at FansidedMMA. She has over 10,000 followers on Twitter and is constantly giving exclusive MMA updates. And Kaplan shared a screenshot of UFC’s official YouTube channel showing a live broadcast of an Elon Musk interview, with over 13,000 viewers watching it live.

The screenshot showed that the title was something related to Bitcoin. And so, although it is not a long shot that Elon Musk could have appeared on the UFC channel, it would definitely not be to discuss Bitcoin.

However, it is highly likely that Elon Musk was behind the hack. It could be someone else using an old Elon Musk video to promote something. Either way, this was definitely not something the UFC signed off on, as we can not find the video on the channel anymore.

UFC YouTube Channel attracting huge numbers

One of the reasons why hackers may have targeted the UFC channel right now is because the UFC’s official YouTube channel is attracting big numbers. This is down to the UFC 283 promotion and media days.

Over the last 24 hours, the UFC YouTube channel has published 16 videos. While not all have drawn huge numbers, the embedded series, as usual, has got over 700,000 views. Therefore, there is definitely a good amount of interaction for the UFC YouTube channel.

So this should explain why hackers targeted the UFC YouTube channel. However, there is no update on who was behind it and what was their intention.
