Nobody seems surprised that the Battle of the Billionaires between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk will not take place.
In a recent interview, UFC president Dana White, who has offered to host the bout, all but put an end to the rumours.
For months, Zuckerberg and Musk have been publicly insulting one another. Around the time Zuckerberg’s Meta introduced Threads, a rival to X, then known as Twitter, their feud started to boil up.

During Musk’s turbulent leadership of the social network firm, a number of X rivals have emerged, many of them trying to profit from users’ dissatisfaction with Musk’s style of operation. With over 100 million users, Zuckerberg’s Threads is seen to be the most competitive rival, but since its release, interest in the app has plummeted.
After the argument, Musk challenged Zuckerberg to a cage match, which Zuckerberg accepted without hesitation. The two billionaires traded accusations over the next weeks, with Zuckerberg calling off the conflict last month.
It never seemed plausible that the two well-known tech bros would actually risk humiliation in the ring, despite the two trading jabs and acting as though they might actually fight. People may pay to watch YouTubers compete in boxing contests against B-list celebrities and retired MMA fighters, but Zuckerberg and Musk have a lot more to lose and very less to gain by losing.
Dana White finally has stated, “I never say never, but probably not,”
Of course, there was no way this fight would ever take place. Both Musk and Zuckerberg have access to enough counsel to know that this would have been nothing short of a debacle, one intended to make people laugh on social media and make fun of two of the most powerful men on the globe forever.
