Despite the hectic week and the many changes made at UFC 294, Dana White would be the happiest man. Given the biggest step towards Conor McGregor’s much-anticipated comeback and getting back into the UFC octagon has just been taken.

It’s official; last week, the Irishman sent in his papers to be tested for drugs by USADA in order to rejoin the UFC.

Unquestionably, McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) is the promotion’s biggest star and top-grossing attraction. Therefore, Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler in UFC 300 rumours have been circulating even before the match is confirmed.

As per a post shared by Jed I.Godman, he has made speculations of Conor making his comeback as a headline fight in Saudi Arabia in UFC 300. Dana White has not yet officially commented anything on it, but he still has not denied it, and has given hints that the star fighter might be there to make his return after having submitted his papers to the USADA las week.

Despite having formally joined the USADA pool, McGregor missed the USADA drug test deadline earlier this year to take on MMA superstar Michael Chandler after the two competed against each other as coaches in “The Ultimate Teammate.”

The battle between McGregor and Chandler appears to have to wait until next year because McGregor missed the deadline for drug testing earlier this year. The big showdown, according to fan speculation, might occur in April 2024.

Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje were earlier singled out by McGregor, who later declared he wanted to end the trilogy with a match against Nate Diaz.

Fans will have to wait to watch McGregor return to the Octagon until his drug tests are found to be negative.
