Conor McGregor: UFC News: In various forms of entertainment like pro wrestling, boxing, and mixed martial arts, the bond between promoters and stars holds immense significance. We’ve witnessed dynamic pairs like Vince McMahon and John Cena, or Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua, whose strong rapport bolstered both the promotion and the athlete’s career. Dana White Doesn’t See Conor McGregor as a Superstar Who World Wants To See
The enduring camaraderie and mutual admiration between McGregor and White have been a source of numerous memes. From the very beginning, the UFC President has regarded McGregor as a megastar capable of packing arenas, regardless of their size, due to his immense star quality.
Nevertheless, during a recent guest appearance on Mike Tyson’s podcast, Dana White seemed to divert the spotlight away from McGregor. When questioned about the superstar that the world is eager to witness, he chose to bypass McGregor’s name and instead mentioned other notable figures in the industry.
White naming the superstars who the world wanna see stated:, “I mean if you look right now Israel Adesanya is a big star for us right now. What I love about this kid is he loves to fight. He wants to fight multiple times in a year. And Alexander Volkanovski is an absolute savage. Khamzat Chimaev, I mean he is the huge star who the world wants to see. He is fighting Paulo Costa in Abu Dhabi.”
Additionally, when Tyson inquired about the Diaz brothers, Dana highlighted their appeal to fight fans due to their aggressive style. Interestingly, in the discussion about significant superstars, McGregor’s name was conspicuously absent. It’s somewhat surprising, but to give White the benefit of the doubt, he might have been considering currently active superstars. Since McGregor is currently inactive, it’s plausible that his name was omitted for that reason.
Indeed, from the very beginning, Dana White recognized the real hype surrounding McGregor. The UFC President has always been a strong advocate for the Irishman’s potential, and their relationship is characterized by a deep bond of affection and admiration. It’s clear that no one in the UFC holds a higher regard for McGregor than White, as their connection is built on a foundation of mutual love and respect.
