Dana White Claims UFC Noche Shatters Records as Most-Watched Fight Night Event Ever

In a recent presser, UFC's top boss, Dana White, announced that the UFC Noche showdown between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko shattered all previous records with 1.1Million viewership.

This highly anticipated rematch, following their clash at UFC 285 during the Jones vs. Gane card, had Grasso clinching the title from the then-champion Shevchenko. Given the event’s dedication to Mexico and its athletes, the anticipation and excitement were palpable. 

The decision to honor Mexican athletes on this special day proved to be a brilliant move, drawing an impressive viewership of 1.1 million and establishing UFC Noche as the most-watched fight night event, as confirmed by Dana White.

In a recent Dana White Contender Series event, the UFC CEO, Dana White, made his usual appearance at the post-event press conference. With a lot of buzz surrounding the recent Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko fight, the presser was highly anticipated. During the press conference, White was asked about the possibility of a trilogy fight between Grasso and Shevchenko. He confirmed that it’s definitely in the works and shared a mind boggling message he received regarding the event.

Reciting the message he received White stated, “Hey Dana! Your idea to go all in on Mexican Independence Day paid off. Noche UFC was the most watched fight night of all time on ESPN+. 1.1Million unique views, 1.1Million that have never been to ESPN tuned in for that fight.”

Absolutely, those numbers are massive! The event pulled in a whopping 1.1 million individual viewers, highlighting just how intense the Grasso vs. Shevchenko showdown was – not just in the ring, but also in terms of the enormous fan interest. Given this kind of buzz, there’s no doubt the company will seize the opportunity for a thrilling trilogy fight.
