A strange occurrence occurred when Conor McGregor defeated Ivan Buchinger to win the lightweight championship at Cage Warriors 51. In a shot from that fight that McGregor recently shared, Buchinger appears to be about to take another hit from McGregor before the referee intervenes.
The Notorious, however, made it apparent in a recent tweet that he would never beat him again, and he thinks it to be dishonorable. Conor McGregor stated that hitting the opponent after knocking him out is disgraceful and should never be done by an MMA fighter.
I was never going to hit here. Fighters that do this are dishonorable in my opinion. It’s so much smoother to recognize the KO and billi walk off. pic.twitter.com/Tla5c7shSf
