Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler in TUF 31

The coaches for The Ultimate Fighter’s forthcoming season are Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. UFC president Dana White also said the program would be telecasted on ESPN. The broadcast will air on ESPN rather than ESPN+, which makes sense given the scope and size of McGregor’s star power. According to sources, May 30 is the scheduled day for the series debut, and it will end by August 15.

There will be a battle between McGregor and Chandler after this season of The Ultimate Fighter 31. The McGregor vs Chandler fight time and place have not yet been decided. Unquestionably, its build-up will be as noteworthy as any bout in 2023.

McGregor (22-6) was the first athlete to simultaneously hold two different weight division belts in the UFC, at lightweight and featherweight. The Irish-born fighter, who defeated Jose Aldo for the featherweight title in 2015 with a 13-second knockout, owns the record for the fastest finish in UFC title fight history. However, the 34-year-old has lost two straight fights and three of his last four.

Former lightweight Bellator champion Chandler (23-8) won the title three times. The native of Missouri joined UFC as a free agent in 2021 and has already competed against some of the organization’s top opponents in the 155-pound division. Chandler, 36, has lost three of his last four fights with a Knockout of the Year victory over Tony Ferguson in May. He most recently fell to Dustin Poirier at UFC 281 in November.
