Charles Oliveira blames Conor McGregor: The rise of Charles Oliveira in the lightweight division is unstoppable, with the most submissions in UFC history and ranked fourth in the pound for pound men fighters.

With 38 wins and 8 losses, Charles Oliveira is on an 11-win strong streak. Being the lightweight division titleholder, his title defenses are up roaring.

His last loss was to Paul Helder in UFC 2148 in 2017. Since then, his rise in UFC has been throttling.

‘Do Bronx’ is just steps away from having the most title defenses in UFC history. Unfortunately, at UFC 274, Oliveira became the first UFC champion to have lost a title due to missing the division weight. The Brazilian weighed 155 pounds, making him half a pound heavier in the lightweight division, and his title was stripped off.

The lightweight division is on fire, as the title is vacant and apex fighters have their eyes set upon it.

Charles Oliveria, expecting to reclaim his title said in his recent interview that the division’s champ Conor is in shock and is ducking matches with him.

Charles Oliveria, said,“I think when we’re on a losing streak, we should think a lot about who our next opponent will be, right?” Oliveira told Face Off’s Luis Coutinho in a recent interview [translation via Brazilian MMA Legends on YouTube]. “I think for some time now, he’s been thinking a lot that I’m the division problem. That I’m a problem to fight him. And I think the answer has already been given, right? He ran, is in shock at what could happen.”

The Notorious’ was the highest-paid UFC fighter and created history by becoming a double division champion.

Unfortunately, he suffered a brutal leg injury in UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier in the first round, fracturing his left fibula and tibia.

Mcgregor had been out of the fight game for a long time, and he announced his return with a spectacular transformation and training videos.

But his return is not confirmed yet he is seen active in many places and occasions outside the octagon.
