Ahead of his title defense against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 284, Islam Makhachev gave his opinion on Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler in the press conference.

The UFC lightweight champion said, “It’s a good fight for MMA fans, but if [Michael Chandler] wins, [Conor McGregor] is going to retire for sure. Make some good money and that’s it. Conor everyday retires and every day comes back to Twitter. I don’t know.”

Conor McGregor hasn’t won a fight since knocking out Donald Cerrone at UFC 246. He has failed twice against Dustin Poirier since then at UFC 257 and UFC 264 respectively.
