Conor McGregor has been brutally criticized by Jake Paul, who has been calling out the UFC star for a boxing scrap for a long time. Follow UFC News Updates with InsideSport.IN.
Prior to facing McGregor’s MMA rival Nate Diaz in a Boxing PPV this weekend, Jake Paul took shots at ‘Notorious’ once again and tagged him to be a drug addict and alcoholic.
In a chat with Ariel Helwani, ‘The Problem Child’ said, “Conor Mac chicken, yeah. I mean, yeah. He don’t want the smoke. He [Conor McGregor] is a alcoholic, he is a drug addict, he is out there you know causing all these problems. About to go to jail.”
“He is not worried about fighting right now, he is worried about being a free man.”
Conor McGregor has been into some major controversies throughout the years. From assaulting an old man to sexual allegations and causing violence, the UFC star has been accused of many wrongdoings.
That said, Conor McGregor is still legally innocent and seems eager to be resurrecting his journey in the sport of professional combat.
He is currently getting aired on the TUF 31 season as a coach against coach Michael Chandler’s team. The two can potentially lock horns in a UFC fight this year or early 2024.
Following consecutive losses against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 and UFC 264, it’s been more than two years since Coor McGregor has competed in the UFC. As of now, the Irish star has also expressed desire to challenge newly crowned BMF champion Justin Gaethje.
Conor McGregor Is Down To Face Anyone
Having competed in the 145 lbs, 155 lbs, and 170 lbs, McGregor is one of the few fighters to have held titles in two weight classes (145 and 155). He has also scored KO wins across all three divisions.
Accompanied by that, Conor McGregor is also the biggest superstar and PPV draw in the sport of MMA. All these factors justify him being in the top conversation despite not winning any fight since January 2023.
It remains to be seen whether Conor McGregor can revive his dominance in the UFC or fade away as most fighters of his time are departing.
