Conor McGregor Challenged By 51-Year Houston Alexander

Alexander, a former UFC and Bellator fighter, has been competing without gloves in the BKFC since 2021 and believes that McGregor would be a problem if he ever chose to make the switch from the UFC to the BKFC.

“Conor is so skilled with his hands … he Conor is so skilled with his hands … he thinks there’d be no issues for The Notorious if he chose to eventually go from the UFC to the BKFC.” said Alexander in an interview with TMZ Sports.

The topic of McGregor potentially fighting in the BKFC arose after he expressed interest in the sport following Perry’s BKFC fight against Luke Rockhold back in April. McGregor even stepped into the ring and did a face off with Mike Perry.

Despite McGregor’s inexperience without gloves, Alexander believes that he would still be a great fighter in the BKFC, which is a significant compliment considering Alexander doesn’t feel that way about most MMA fighters.

“If you’ve got MMA guys who just concentrate on just kicking or jiu-jitsu, please don’t get in this type of sport,” said Alexander. “Because it’s going to expose your boxing and you’re going to get hurt.”

However, while McGregor vs Perry in the BKFC seemed like a possibility, it now appears that those rumors are fading away. It’s unclear why the fight isn’t happening, but fans of both fighters will undoubtedly be disappointed.

Nevertheless, Alexander is still set to compete in the BKFC and has another big fight coming up on May 19 against Jeremy Smith. At 51 years old, Alexander shows no signs of slowing down and has zero desire to retire anytime soon.
