All of those well-known fighters successfully gained weight, however, Christian Rodriguez from the main programme, who faced Cameron Saaiman, was four pounds over the bantamweight limit. The bout will resume at a catchweight, but Rodriguez will give up 25% of his winnings to the challenger.

With a weight of 140 pounds as opposed to Cameron Saaiman’s 135.5, Christian Rodriguez was unable to compete at bantamweight. When you take into account the one-pound allowance the commission grants in fights without a championship, it is a staggering four pounds over the divisional limit.

Additionally, the organisation announced that Daniel Lacerda’s non-weight-related medical condition caused the scheduled catchweight rematch between Edgar Chairez and Lacerda to be called off after both fighters weighed in.

Edgar Chairez posted on social media that Daniel Lacerda’s “strong” facial infection caused the 130-pound catchweight fight between the two to be cancelled earlier today. Both boxers made their marks successfully, with Chairez weighing in at 129.5 pounds and Lacerda breaking even at 130.

Chairez and Lacerda first engaged in combat at Noche UFC, but the match was adjudged a No Contest after referee Chris Tognoni abruptly stopped the action in the first frame after concluding that Lacerda had been knocked out by Chairez’s guillotine. When a video replay revealed the contrary, the bout was swiftly rescheduled for UFC Vegas 81.
