Keeping themselves inside the cold water, both men were asked trivia questions. However, Conor McGregor had to recall his loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018, which the Irishman didn’t seem to like.
Bruce Buffer asked Michael Chandler to answer in which round Khabib Nurmagomedov had submitted ‘Notorious’ at UFC 299. He was given three options.
‘Iron’ Chandler perfectly answered by picking the right answer of 4th round. That said, Conor McGregor had to witness all of it in person. MMA fans were quick to react to the situation on social media.

Meanwhile, UFC President Dana White didn’t seem to like the tub challenge. He appeared bothered about his fighter’s health and denounced the production team for putting on such a competition before everyone.
Dana White said, “I’m gonna tell you this. It was a huge, huge f****** … clusterf*** by the production team that shot this thing. Completely f****** irresponsible, completely a s*** show, and both of them could have been hurt during this.
“It was a f****** — ridiculous what happened during the coaches challenge.”
Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler is Verbally On
Following the end of TUF 31, Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are in talks to fight each other inside the UFC octagon. That said, McGregor was teasing his return against other contenders, too.
This caused a lot of confusion amongst the UFC fans. Dana White put an end to all rumors and confirmed that Conor McGregor will face Michael Chandler upon returning to the UFC.
He said, “I talked to Conor, either yesterday or the day before, and yeah, he’s ready to fight – I said, ‘Listen, get in shape and let’s figure this out.’ [It’s] definitely Chandler – He likes to f*** with everybody, especially his opponent, or possible opponents.”
The fight is yet to be officially announced by the UFC but looks likely to go down latest by early 2024.
The TUF 31 season will probably end, paving the path to a potential UFC clash between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. However, the Irishman has been spotted teasing several more names as his next possible opponents.
