Based on the recent BBC reports a letter issued on behalf of Tate and his brother and received by victims, the pair threaten to sue one of Tate’s accusers and her parents for $300 million (£249 million) if she does not withdraw her claims.

The letter stated, “In April 2022, you falsely stated to a third party that our Client human trafficked you, abused you and held you against your will […] You have repeated false and defamatory statements to the police, the media, and another United States citizen about the Tate brothers.”

In response to claims that two women were being kept against their will by the Tate brothers, Ms. Glandian stated, “There was no evidence whatsoever of that, which is why [the Tates] were not arrested in April. [At that time], they were nothing but victims of false allegations, and they had every right to file criminal complaints for having their homes raided [and] property seized.”

In the meantime, the victim’s attorneys claimed that their client is a crucial witness in the Romanian inquiry and that the letter was written with one goal in mind: to prevent the witness from testifying in any court. Now it will be interesting to see what will happen in this situation.
