The former UFC champion recently gave his honest opinion on Robert Whittaker’s upcoming clash at UFC 290.

Both Whittaker and Pereira have held the UFC middleweight championship and have commonly suffered KO losses against current champion Israel Adesanya.

That said, Pereira favoured Whitaker over Dricus DuPlessis at UFC 290.

On his Twitter, ‘Poatan’ wrote “Easy Money (Robert Whittaker)

Whittaker is an A-listed fighter and can rightly consider himself the favourite at UFC 290. However, he shouldn’t overlook the threats that Dricus Du Plessis can bring.

Du Plessis (19-2) has won seven straight contests, the past five of which have all taken place in the UFC. He has major victories against Derek Brunson and Darren Till, and MMA Fighting presently has him ranked as the eighth-best middleweight in the world.
