Following the news of a possible cage match between Musk and Zuck, we’ve now seen Musk teaming up with former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre for a training session. Meanwhile, Zuckerberg has been getting help from two UFC champions.
As we saw on social media Zuckerberg can be seen training alongside the current UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, who had just defended his title at UFC 290 three days prior. The MMA community has been buzzing with reactions to this development. Check out some of it below.
The training photos featuring Zuckerberg and Musk highlight a noticeable contrast in their physical sizes. Despite Zuckerberg’s dedication to athletic pursuits as a “serious hobbyist” for over a year, including competition, Musk doesn’t appear to have a formal training routine and doesn’t seem to possess a particularly athletic physique. Nevertheless, given Musk’s imposing stature, it’s possible that this could create some apprehension for Zuckerberg leading up to their highly anticipated cage match.
What was once dismissed as a far-fetched idea has now become a tangible reality as the online beef between Facebook founder and SpaceX founder continues to escalate. UFC president Dana White has affirmed that he has spoken to both men and can confirm that they are genuinely interested in fighting each other. With the emergence of training photos featuring both tech moguls with UFC champions, it appears that the likelihood of this fight actually happening has significantly increased.
