The match was a great exchange of strikes, although Rakic had out striked and out wrestled Jan in the first two rounds.
Although Calf Kicks played a major role in this fight, both fighters were using them a lot, Jan was checking them better and it paid in the round round after Rakic’s knee just couldn’t take anymore and he collapsed.

Jan hails himself as the better man: Jan during the post fight interview revealed that he has his eyes set on the Light Heavyweight Gold and he wants his belt back as soon as possible.
When asked about the collapse of Rakic, he showed respect and said his body was tougher tonight, “That’s it, End of Story”.
He added that he was even ready to go for the fourth and fifth round but Rakic’s body was not, he hailed himself as better man tonight.
