Khabib Nurmagomedov’s MMA career analyzed by UFC veteran
Two years after quitting MMA, Khabib Nurmagomedov, widely regarded as the most excellent lightweight in UFC history, is leaving the sport. As per the UFC veteran Chael Sonnen, “The Eagle” is retiring from mixed martial arts just before Islam Makhachev’s most significant match. At UFC 284, Makhachev will challenge featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski for the newly created lightweight belt. The bout is scheduled for February 12 at Perth, Australia’s RAC Arena.

Chael Sonnen remarked: “I can’t openly declare that Khabib is finished and won’t support Islam [at UFC 284]. I am unable to tell you directly that. I have two different claims. The first is that he’s taking a break. OK, excellent. Spend some time alone. The second [statement] reads, “I’m leaving the industry.” It indicates that the speaker will not support Islam in his impending fight. It also means that I won’t be traveling to Perth with Islam. I won’t be in camp as a result. I’m not going to train.”

UFC News round up: Conor Mcgregor tagged relevant by former champion
In his most recent YouTube video, former UFC champion Michael Bisping analyzed the Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov rivalry because “The Eagle” is currently a popular topic since he resigned from MMA in all forms. The complete video is available to view below. Let’s check out what he says about their rivalry in the interim.
Michael Bisping said, “Conor McGregor would never let that go. He is widely renowned for his rivalry with McGregor. He constantly trashes him online. And to be fair, I’m not taking a side in this argument, but Nurmagomedov hasn’t seen him react all that much. I believe he may have stated something once during an interview. But he mainly states that this is a load of bulls**t. And he fails to live up to it. However, the UFC’s battle with Conor McGregor was the most significant match it has ever staged. It was around 2.2 million PPV purchases.”
EX-UFC Star Kevin Lee converts his religion
Although Kevin Lee’s conversion to Islam was first made public in August of last year, he had previously been a devout Muslim for three months. The 30-year-old, who currently represents Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle FC, asserts that his interactions with Muslims have helped him form strong bonds with them. The Motown Phenom further asserted that the decision had the approval of Marquel Martin, his former manager, with whom he still maintains contact. Lee recently revealed to Brett Okamoto of ESPN:

“I embraced Islam. I became a Muslim and have fully embraced my position in society as a Muslim. And simply being there by myself let me feel more a part of the Muslim Brotherhood by conversing with more individuals, and Ali, who I’ve known for years, was one of those people. We trained together, have great respect for one another, and he has many MMA connections. So the partnership just worked out, and I was given Marquel’s approval to relocate.”
