UFC News round-up daily: Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson passed away

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, a light heavyweight MMA competitor who finished his career with a 23-6 record, has passed away. at the age of 38. On Sunday, Johnson’s death was revealed by Bellator MMA on social media. According to a Bellator tweet, Johnson has had a medical condition for almost a year. The release noted that the “BELLATOR family is grieved by his untimely passing, and they express their condolences to his family and friends .”

UFC News round-up daily: Dillon Danis challenges Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz was the focus of Dillon Danis’s tweet on his official Twitter account. Dillon predicted that he would defeat Nate Diaz in either MMA or boxing in less than 30 seconds. He additionally claimed to give away 10k to everybody who liked his tweet. Earlier at UFC 281, Nate Diaz and Dillon Danis got into an altercation outside Madison Square Garden. This came after the two got involved in an altercation during UFC 281 in New York.

UFC News round-up daily: Dustin Poirier needs a break

In the UFC 281 post-match press conference, Dustin Poirier stated that it is thanksgiving and Christmas, so he wants to be with his daughter for a while. Also, he added that the next match would be a bigger fight than this—a title fight or a fight that leads to it. It will be a head-on collision if it is not one of them. In UFC 281, Dustin Poirier defeated Michael Chandler with a third-round submission.

UFC News round-up daily: Khabib Nurmagomedov challenges Australia

Khabib Nurmagomedov posted a video on his official Instagram handle, captioning, “Australia get ready. We flying on your field to take everything you have.” He basically challenged Australian fighter Alexander Volkanovski, who is currently the featherweight champion. UFC recently made Islam Makhachev vs. Alexander Volkanovski bout official for UFC 284 in Perth, Australia.
