Paddy Pimblett, a lightweight competitor in the UFC, posted on Instagram to celebrate his past year. Without question, he enjoyed himself both inside and outside the octagon. In the caption, he listed the significant accomplishments he has made in 2022, such as his perfect record in the UFC.

He wrote, “What a year it was—I went 3-0 in the UFC, launched the Baddy Foundation, made my first investment, and launched my very first company—the busiest year of my life, and we’re only getting started! Lenny (and possibly Laura) have been my favorite part of the entire year. I love you all, and I hope 2023 gives you all the things you desire, my people.”

The news that Islam Makhachev’s coach Khabib Nurmagomedov, who helped him win his title, is retiring from coaching has made him the talk of the town right now. The main event of UFC 284 in Perth, Australia, featuring Islam against Alexander Volkanovski, has people wondering how he is training without Khabib. In the meantime, he uploaded a video of his intense training on Mount Elbrus in Russia. Dillon Danis, Conor McGregor’s close friend, joked about his preparation.

In the aforementioned video, Makhachev can be seen diving into the lake despite the freezing weather. Given that the present temperature on Mount Elbrus is -27 degrees Fahrenheit and 18,510 feet above sea level, diving into the lake under such circumstances certainly needs distinct mental fortitude. Danis, mocking him, remarked that he was eager to join the guys in the hot tub. You may view a screenshot of his remarks below.

UFC News round up: UFC 283 updates

For his return to Brazil, Thiago Moises quickly acquired a new opponent. Just a few days ago, Moises (16-6 MMA, 5-4 UFC) lost Guram Kutateladze (12-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) as his UFC 283 opponent. On January 21, UFC 283 will take place at Rio de Janeiro’s Jeunesse Arena. Glover Teixeira will compete against Jamahal Hill in the card’s main event to become the new Light Heavyweight Champion after Jiri Prochazka was forced to relinquish his title in 2022.
