Ali Kadyrov, the son of tyrannical Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov, won his first MMA match in a staged contest on the ACA 150 card. Khamzat Chimaev, a UFC superstar, born in Chechnya, was in Kadyrov’s corner for the fight and raised his hand after the result was declared. Simply put, the fans couldn’t believe what they were watching. Replays make it challenging to claim that the battle isn’t manipulated. One of the fans called the bout a circus.

The 15-year-old won in the first round via TKO over fellow rookie Islam Akbarov. Kadyrov landed a jab that knocked his opponent to the ground. The adolescent struck his downed opponent with a series of light blows that didn’t seem to make much impact. The referee decided it to be enough and intervened to end the battle despite the limited force of the strikes, which Akbarov could defend effectively from his back.

Kadyrov prepared for the fight alongside people like former UFC champion Cody Garbrandt and members of Sweden’s Allstar team, including Chimaev, who posted a training montage of the adolescent to Instagram to advertise the battle.
Chimaev, a resident of Sweden who was born in Chechnya, has also frequently been seen with Kadyrov and his sons and has been known to train with them when in Chechnya. The UFC fighter attended UFC 280 with the dictator’s son in Abu Dhabi in October and shared photos of his sparring session with them on social media.

The UFC Superstar entered the cage right after the bout ended, hugged Ali, and then raised the teen’s hand to signal victory. Soon after, the UFC fighter praised the young man on Instagram, saying he “demonstrated excellent fighting skills and determination to win.” Since none of the skills were demonstrated in the encounter, we are still determining what Chimaev was referring to.

In addition, Ramzan Kadyrov shared a photo of his son on Instagram and the phrase “Akhmat Power,” his wartime rallying cry. Ramzan had already received sanctions from the US government for several human rights breaches, and more recently, Ramzan received further sanctions for his involvement in the Russia/Ukraine war.
