Boasting an undefeated 12-0 MMA record, Khamzat Chimaev has secured dominant wins in both- welterweight and the middleweight division. Only Gilbert Burns could give ‘Borz’ a tough fight, or else Khamzat Chimaev made the rest of his opponents look like amateurs.
Chimaev recently connected with ESPN MMA and shed views on the idea of facing Alex Pereira in Brazil. ‘Borz’ said, “I like competitions you know, and go to somebody’s home and take his belt. Actually, I know a lot of guys from Brazil, a lot of brothers from Brazil. So, a lot of guys train with me as well and my coach from Brazil. So the guys is like kind of like, grow up like us. You know, hard time. I understand the guys from Brazil. So they understand e as well. I want to be there one day and fight at Rio De Janerio.”
After beating Kevin Holland at UFC 279, Khamzat Chimeav doesn’t have an official opponent. That said, a potential fight between him and Alex Pereira may not happen immediately. Chimaev wants to return to the welterweight category and test himself against ‘Chaos’ Colby Covington. With that said, Chimaev says he would beat Covington easily. Meanwhile, Alex Pereira will have to defend his middleweight title next, possibly against Israel Adesanya.
