Israel Adesanya is now the UFC middleweight champion and has finally avenged his former nemesis Alex Pereira, against whom Izzy has lost thrice across Kickboxing (2) and MMA (1). Following his highlight reel KO win, ‘Izzy’ unloaded a few iconic celebrations that were directly targeted to demean Alex Pereira and his son.

After Alex Pereira had knocked out Israel Adesanya in a kickboxing clash back in 2017, Pereira’s son trolled Adesanya by impersonating his downfall in the ring. Israel Adesanya returned it to the UFC last night by mocking Pereira’s son.

UFC Last Night: Mike Tyson and Donald Trump were in attendance, Jorge Masvidal Retires

The UFC returned to Miami with a stacked PPV event. Donald Trump, an avid MMA fan, couldn’t afford to miss it in person. The former US President attended the event where he was hailed as the ‘Greatest President’ by Jorge Masvidal.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson was also present at the Miami-Dare Arena. He was spotted sitting beside Dana White and Donald Trump as Israel Adesanya knocked the middleweight title out of Alex Pereira.

In the co-main event, Gilbert Burns vanquished Jorge Masvidal via decision. ‘Gamebred’ looked below-average in the cage as he suffered his fourth consecutive loss in the promotion. It means that Masvidal hasn’t won a fight since beating Nae Diaz in 2019.

The BMF champion called off his storied career after the loss. He cited himself as a multi-millionaire, who no longer needs to fight for money. Hence, we seem to have seen the last of Jorge Masvidal inside the cage. Here’s a look at the complete UFC 287 results.
