Phil Hawes HEATED ARGUMENT with Daniel Cormier: UFC Fight Night Austin witnessed Phil Hawes knockout against Deron Winn in the second round.
This escalated to another level when Phill got into an argument with the show’s commentator Daniel Cormier.
DC and Deron Winn trained in the same gym, American Kickboxing Academy and he tutored him, however, DC predicted him as the winner.
Phill, butchered Winn with heavy strikes and try to soak him in blood in the first round. The second round demolished Winn with a vicious elbow leading to a knockout loss.

However, Phil Hawes apologized for his behavior in the post-fight interview.
“It’s just a misunderstanding on my behalf, you know, ’cause ‘DC’ is such a role model to me. You know what I mean? Two-weight world champion and just a freaking stellar dude. So there was a little miscommunication, wrong place, wrong time. I apologize, ‘DC’. Don’t beat me up.”
Daniel Cormier being an elite fighter and proved his potential throughout his career’s ups and downs in UFC and finally got his place.
