Adesanya vs Pereira: UFC news: Conor McGregor is optimistic about Israel Adesanya’s resurrection after the Nigerian star’s recent defeat against Alex Pereira for the middleweight belt at UFC 281. McGregor and Adesanya are two of the biggest prize fighters in the promotion and jointly hail from Paradigm Sports Management. Hence, ‘Notorious’ shared his perspective on Israel Adesanya’s current situation after praising Alex Pereira in a recent tweet. Follow UFC News updates with InsideSport.IN

UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira was spotted sparring with GLORY kickboxer Clyde Brunswijk in a recent video. Reflecting on his views, Conor McGregor expressed himself on social media. Here’s a look at it.

The Irishman wrote, “A really solid fighter this guy is! Stability. Himself and @stylebender (Israel Adesanya) is one hell of a rivalry! I can’t wait to see it unfold! Izzy so close each time. No time limit and Izzy still has that belt. Excited for their forthcoming! Team @paradigmsports all the way!”

The UFC fans didn’t seem to like McGregor’s views. Alex Pereira knocked out Israel Adesanya fairly and deprived ‘Izzy’ of the middleweight crown. He is now the undisputed 185-pounder in the UFC with three wins over Adesanya in all of the professional combat. Here’s how netizens reacted to the tweet.

Israel Adesanya held the UFC belt since knocking out Robert Whittaker in 2019. He defended the title five times and was looking likely to do it for the sixth time against Alex Pereira. Having dominated ‘Poatan’ in the initial rounds, Adesanya was winning on the judge’s scorecard. However, Pereira unloaded his best in the fifth round and scored a TKO win. It remains to be seen whether Adesanya can become the champion again.

Alex Pereira has already beaten Israel Adesanya twice in kickboxing and once in MMA. He might have found the former champion’s number, but Mixed Martial Arts remains a brutal sport, where things can change at any given point. There are all the reasons why UFC should host the rematch somewhere down the line.
