Conor McGregor Didn’t Meet USADA Deadline and Can’t Fight in 2023 Per Rules, Fans React To The UFC News Brutally

‘The Notorious’ was scheduled to face Michael Chandler this year after a two-year break. After finishing a season of The Ultimate Fighter with Chandler, he was supposed to be the main attraction of a pay-per-view later this year. Despite not being officially confirmed, the fight generated a lot of buzz, especially in light of McGregor’s comeback. Dana White has already discussed it as well. Unfortunately, it looks like there won’t be a fight.

The USADA testing pool must be joined by a UFC fighter at least six months before a match. After fracturing his leg in 2021, McGregor was removed from the testing pool and hasn’t been tested since. As soon as the fans heard the news about the scheduled fight between McGregor and Michael, fans started counting down the days until the star-studded battle. However, McGregor isn’t yet a member of the USADA pool and is prohibited from competing for six months without being tested. The battle between McGregor and Chandler seems to be in peril now that the deadline has past.

The MMA community learned a few days ago that the Irishman would need to sign up for USADA’s testing pool by June 16 in order to compete this year. This is due to USADA’s requirement that all UFC athletes spend at least six months in the testing pool prior to competing. Therefore, the 16th of June was the final date for the Irishman to compete at UFC 296—the organization’s final pay-per-view in 2023. And Conor has missed the last tentative date to submit the samples for testing.

As soon as the news came out that Conor vs Michael bout might not happen as Conor missed the last date, fans unleashed their fury online calling Conor McGregor a clown, they also wrote “he is on the juice” and comments like “He’s in Love with the coco!! 😂.”

Michael Chandler, who is preparing for one of his biggest battles ever, will also be disappointed. Conor McGregor appears to have a name he can fight inside the cage, nevertheless, if the fight does not happen this year.
