A five-bout losing streak for the 39-year-old Ferguson (25-8 MMA, 15-6 UFC) precedes his fight with Green (29-14-1 MMA, 10-9-1 UFC). Since June 2019, he hasn’t prevailed in a battle, but Green thinks those numbers are misleading.
Apparently, when Nina Marie had an interaction with Bobby Green, she exposed him as having slid into her Instagram DM’s in 2021, to which Nina had not sent any response. King says there are numerous people who reach back to him after years, by then he generally doesn’t even remember having taken a shot in conversing.
He then turns to Nina and says “I dint even know I had shot my shot”. He assumes maybe the message was in response to some badas* video that she might have posted.
Nina then replied saying most probably it was some comedy skit because it was before she even started in the UFC.
It was way earlier before they were to meet and interact with one another. King says, the message he sent to her only reads “What Up?”. Which only meant How she was doing then.
As always Nina has again succeeded in making the interaction very friendly and comfortable, the way she tends to keep a conversation engaging for the fans, is what makes the MMA fans love Nina more.
A fan commented on the reel shared on Instagram saying, “ She’s a hard cancer to UFC. ITS LITERALLY CUZ SHES HOT. SHE WOULDN’T HAVE THE JOB IF SHE WASN’T HOTTT. And then to put Bobby on spot?”

The pairing of the two fan favourites near the twilight of their careers is wonderful matchmaking. Ferguson attained a higher level, but his play has undoubtedly gotten worse with age while Green’s has improved.
Looking back, Ferguson had several challenges while battling killer after killer. Green is a kinder opponent, but because of the harm he has taken, Green’s volume and pressure could cut his career prematurely.
Ferguson’s record-breaking run was made possible by volume and pressure, and his durability defied logic. Apart from the deceiving losing streak, Green thinks that alone is cause for concern, which is why he doesn’t really have high expectations for their fight.
