The undisputed featherweight championship will be on the line in the main event as champion Alexander Volkanovski faces off against interim champion Yair Rodriguez. Additionally, the 125-pound division will be electrified as Brandon Moreno defends his flyweight title against longtime adversary Alexandre Pantoja.

One Fighter Misses Weight and Gets Additional Hour In UFC 290 Volkanovski vs Rodriguez Full Weigh-In

Volkanovski and Rodriguez qualified for the featherweight title unification fight by weighing in at 144.5 and 145 pounds, respectively, according to the official weigh-in figures for the main event.

In the co-main event, flyweight champion Brandon Moreno will take on Alexandre Pantoja in a much-anticipated rematch to defend his championship. Both competitors have successfully reached the flyweight limit, with Moreno’s weight of 125 pounds matching it. Pantoja’s weight of 125 pounds also ensured that the fight would take place as planned.

Robert Whittaker, who weighed in at 185.5 pounds, will be up against Dricus Du Plessis, who was measured at 186 pounds. Dan Hooker, who weighed in at 155.5 pounds, will fight Jalin Turner, whose weight was not made public during the weigh-in.

Bo Nickal, a middleweight contender, weighed 186 pounds, and Val Woodburn, his opponent, weighed 185.5 pounds.

The stage has been set for an action-packed UFC 290 event with all of the combatants on the main card successfully making weight.

For his lightweight matchup against Dan Hooker (22-12 MMA, 12-8 UFC) on the main card, only Jalin Turner (13-6 MMA, 6-3 UFC) failed to make weight. Turner, who weighed 158 pounds, was the final competitor to step up to the scale. He won’t be allowed to keep his current weight and will be penalised a portion of his wallet.
