After defeating Adesanya twice in kickboxing, Pereira (7-1) stunned the MMA world in November by stunningly stopping “The Last Stylebender” in Round 5 to earn the UFC 185-pound title. There will be a rematch between the two middleweights in Miami.

UFC 287, taking place at Miami’s Miami-Dade Arena, is the promotion’s fifth numbered event of the year.

Some famous faces from the world of broadcasting will be on hand to assist viewers. MMA Junkie has obtained information about the event’s commentators and analysts.

The main card of UFC 287 will be shown on pay-per-view and streamed live on ESPN+ beginning at 10 p.m. ET, exclusively for U.S. citizens.

Early prelims are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET and stream on ESPN+, followed by televised prelims on ESPN beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

Michael Eaves, a seasoned broadcaster, will moderate the post-fight coverage. He’ll be accompanied by MMA coach Din Thomas and newcomer Dustin Poirier, a former interim UFC lightweight champion.

Poirier, 34, has a current lightweight division ranking of No. 2 and won by submission over fellow action fighter Michael Chandler at UFC 281 in New York. At UFC 288, current middleweight champion Alex Pereira will defend his title against former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. The night also features a fight between Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal, two former welterweight title challengers who are now competing against each other for a spot in the congested 170-pound title pursuit.
