At UFC 285, Jon Jones will make his much-anticipated return. On March 4, 2023, Jones will square off against Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight championship. Jon Jones Wants to Fight Stipe Miocic

After Francis Ngannou left the UFC, it vacated the heavyweight title in the promotion. Dana White, president of the UFC, decided to offer the title as a prize at the forthcoming UFC international pay-per-view a result. For the first time in three years, Jon Jones will be fighting, and he is already in the running for the championship.

But “Bones” wants to show the world that he is the best heavyweight fighter ever, not only by winning his UFC 285 contest. The top heavyweight athletes on the squad are in his sights. Jones was recently featured in a “TMZ Sports” interview discussing fighting Stipe Miocic.

“Stipe Miocic would be a formidable task,” declared Jones. He continued, “Stipe Miocic is the one I have my sights on. He is regarded as the best heavyweight of all time. I would be honored if I could fight with such a man.”

Stipe Miocic appeals to fight UFC 285 winner

The 40-year-old Miocic is the most successful heavyweight champion in UFC history. The native of Ohio has successfully defended the title four times throughout his two reigns, including three straight defenses from 2016 to 2018, which is a record for a heavyweight champion in the UFC.

Stipe Miocic tweeted that he was prepared to return to action much earlier than July. The former two-time UFC heavyweight champion publicly appealed to square off against the winner of Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane at UFC 285.

UFC 285: Jones vs Gane

Jones’s debut match in the heavyweight category will occur at UFC 285. Gane, who is 32 years old, should be a strong opponent. He was a former interim heavyweight champion whose lone defeat was against Francis Ngannou in January 2022 by unanimous decision.

Meanwhile, Ciryl Gane’s challenge has yet to be minimized by Bones. According to Jon Jones, the French fighter is among the finest in UFC history. “Bones,” announced, “I got a huge, huge order ahead of me.”
