UFC 284 Best Knockouts: Justin Tafa KO Parker Porter (Rd 1, 1:06)

Justin Tafa quickly made contact with his opponent’s chin. Tafa (6-3 MMA, 3-3 UFC) fought Parker Porter at heavyweight on the pay-per-view main card of UFC 284 at Perth, Australia’s RAC Arena.

Tafa won the battle in just 66 seconds. Tafa narrowly avoided Porter’s attempt to land a powerful overhand right while reacting with a lethal left hand. Immediately Porter fell to the canvas and rolled over onto his back with his arms outstretched. Tafa saw no need for additional follow-up punches because he was obviously out of sorts. Jason Herzog, the referee, quickly evaluated the situation and adjourned the altercation.

UFC 284 Best Knockouts: Kleydson Rodrigues TKO Shannon Ross (Rd 1, 0:59)

In his second UFC outing, Kleydson Rodrigues wasted no time. Rodrigues (8-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) ran over Shannon Ross (13-7 MMA, 0-1 UFC) on the UFC 284 preliminary card and won via TKO at 0:59 in Round 1.

The sequence began with Rodrigues diving into a left hand with his knee, which seemed to annoy Ross, who wiped his face and changed stances. Rodrigues kicked him in the body, followed by a flurry of punches. Before concluding the battle with additional punches, Rodrigues exuberantly leaped, turned, and rammed his back into Ross at one point.

Rodrigues’ first victory in the competition follows a disastrous debut at UFC 274 in May. In his UFC debut, Ross is unsuccessful, as he has now dropped three of his last four fights.
