UAE T20 League – Adani Group UAE League: Adani Group has made a landmark foray into franchise cricket. Gautam Adani who was recently announced as World’s 5th Richest person has acquired the rights to operate a franchise in UAE’s T20 league. It is worth noting that Adani Group failed in acquiring team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in October. “We are excited to be part of the UAE T20 league,” said Pranav Adani.
“Our presence here is also a great base for the Adani brand. The brand is contributing significantly to the sports ecosystem in India through leagues such as kabaddi”

Adani Group UAE League: The league is Licensed by Emirates Cricket. The UAE T20 League will be an annual event that will feature six franchise teams. In year 1 it will be a 34-match event.
Top players from all the cricket playing countries are expected to be in the line-up of different teams.
The league will be providing a platform and exposure to upcoming young cricketers.
This will be the first major move overseas by the Adani Sportsline.

Adani Sportsline is promoted by the Adani Group.
There diverse businesses include port management, electric power generation and transmission, renewable energy.
Other than this Adanis are also present in mining, airport operations, natural gas, food processing and infrastructure.
The group has annual revenues of over US$20 billion with operations at 70 locations in 50 countries. The group reportedly has a market cap of over $222 billion.

The league according to the officials in ECB will commence next year. The 1st edition is likely to be played in the month of January-February.
With the formal arrival of the Adanis, the ECB has all six franchises in place to launch the league.

- Reliance Industries that owns Mumbai Indians team in the IPL as the stakeholders of the league.
