The clip sparked reactions from the community, who spoke out about the deplorable behavior Twitch staff have towards fans.
Cosplayer gets her sword broken by Twitch event staff at TwitchCon 2022
Cosplayer Team Nikachu is a relatively popular personality on her platform, and she attended TwitchCon 2022 dressed as Ciri from The Witcher. She put in immense hard work behind her outfit and even shared clips of the same on her social media.

Her outfit was appreciated by many in the venue, but her happiness was short-lived as she claimed an event member at the RAI Amsterdam broke her sword when she went to the washroom. She spoke about the incident in detail when she was in conversation with IRL Twitch streamer YourFellowArab.
“I went to the toilet, only to drink water, and one of the staff members from here came and he broke my sword.”
Her statement left the streamer in shock, as he asked if the staff member broke it by mistake and why he did so. Nikachu stated that she had no idea why he broke her sword, but it was not a mistake on his part, since she tried to tell him that the sword was not his.
“I was saying hey, stop, this is not yours, but then, it completely broke.”
The incident not only enraged the streamers, but also fans who saw the clip online. It led to a huge discussion about the kind of behaviour Twitch staff dealt out to fans at public events.
Fans are clearly not pleased with what went down at TwitchCon, but there is no notice of whether the staff member faced any consequences for their actions so far.
Mizkif also shared his bad experience at TwitchCon
It seems as though Twitch staff does not stop at misbehaving with fans, and even misbehaves with the streamers who come for the event. With the TwitchCon ongoing, Mizkif took to his livestream to share an incident at a TwitchCon when he had been kicked out of the premises for no apparent reason.
He claimed that when he was attending TwitchCon, two cops came out of nowhere and demanded that he leave the premises immediately. Furthermore, a Twitch staff member who was standing there looked at his badge and claimed that it was fake and Mizkif was not a real Twitch partner. Unfortunately, despite Mizkif and his friends’ protests, the streamer was kicked out of the venue.
The ill treatment being doled out by Twitch staff has been one of the primary talking points of TwitchCon 2022, and fans can expect to hear more about the same once streamers return to their streams after the event concludes.
