Tottenham New Manager: Pochettino in line for Spurs return & Nagelsmann considered as Daniel Levy draws shortlist after Conte sacking- Check out
Nagelsmann is in the picture and Daniel Levy wants to speak to him. Nagelsmann was abruptly fired by Bayern Munich on Friday. The 35-year-old was replaced at the Bavarian club by Thomas Tuchel, who was apparently in the running for the position and would have accepted it. Mauricio Pochettino is still a name famous amongst Spurs fans and is an option for them to consider.
After the appointment of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, and most recently, Antonio Conte, three somewhat conservative coaches in their approach, there have been calls to return the team to its traditional roots and recruit a coach who will play expansive and thrilling football.
Daniel Levy’s list of replacements
- Julian Nagelsmann – currently not managing a club, recently sacked as manager from Bayern Munich
- Mauricio Pochettino – currently not managing a club
- Luis Enrique – currently not managing a club, managed Spain at the FIFA World Cup 2022
- Marco Silva – Fulham manager
- Oliver Glasner – Eintracht Frankfurt manager
- Roberto De Zerbi – Brighton and Hove Albion manager
- Steve Cooper – Nottingham Forest manager
- Thomas Frank – Brentford manager
- Sergio Conceicao – Porto manager
- Ange Postecoglou – Celtic manager
Daniel Levy too opened up about the situation at the club at the moment. He said, ‘We have 10 PL games remaining, we have a fight on our hands for a Champions League place. We all need to pull together. Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our Club and amazing, loyal supporters.’
Landing a young, dynamic coach such as Julian Nagelsmann would be a blessing for Daniel Levy and Tottenham. He has shown his skills at RB Leipzig and also Bayern Munich and would greatly improve the team. Pochettino would also be a good option considering his knowledge of the club. It will be interesting to see who ends up at the helm for Spurs.
