Toni Kroos Contract: La Liga: Real Madrid’s veteran midfielder, Toni Kroos, has agreed to extend his contract with Real Madrid until the end of the 2023/24 season. Last year, Kroos was offered the option to renew his deal until 2024, but the German international turned it down to make sure he was still fit to deliver another year. However, Kroos has reportedly informed Real Madrid’s directors that he wants to continue playing for the club. MARCA previously reported that Kroos was contemplating just two options – either to extend his contract or announce his retirement from football.
With another year at Real Madrid, Kroos will complete a decade at the club, having joined Los Blancos back in 2014.
Carlo Ancelotti, the current Real Madrid coach, heaped praise on the midfielder and called him a “legend of the club”.
“Kroos, he’s a legend of the club. He’s a top level. New deal? I expect Toni to complete his career here at Real Madrid for sure”, Ancelotti said earlier this week.
The 33-year-old arrived at Real Madrid after winning the World Cup in 2014 and has featured in 405 official games for Los Blancos. He has won everything at Real Madrid except for the Copa del Rey trophy, which he will have the chance to lift if his team beats Osasuna in the final on May 6.
Toni Kroos has agreed new contract at Real Madrid valid until June 2024, as reported on Sunday. ⚪️✨
