Tom Aspinall Shares His Views On UFC Mega Fight Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler

Michael Chandler vs. Conor McGregor is scheduled for UFC 300 after the Irishman reentered the drug-testing pool.

The superstar Conor McGregor shattered his leg during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier, which was the last time he entered the Octagon, more than two years ago.

But now that he’s recovered completely, “Notorious” is looking to challenge Michael Chandler, the three-time Bellator lightweight champion.

While the fight has been planned, McGregor and Chandler have been back and forth; however, no official date has been announced as of yet.

Michael Chandler vs. Conor McGregor is scheduled for UFC 300 after the Irishman reentered the drug-testing pool.

Though few know what division McGregor intends to compete in, there are concerns about his condition following a lengthy absence due to a fractured leg sustained in his trilogy rematch loss to Dustin Poirier.

In fact, not many people foresaw him returning to the Octagon for a while, and with his social media following and former fight against Floyd Mayweather, he could gain traction as a crossover fighter as the division expands.

British UFC heavyweight Tom Aspinall expressed similar skepticism to Casino Canada, yet he is still a fan.

He said: “People will always tune into his fights; I know I am and I will always tune in. I don’t know where his mind is at, his body is at or even where his ambition is at, but he can definitely always offer the UFC entertainment.

“Someone like me will always tune into his fights. I’ve always been a Conor McGregor fan; I like what he’s all about.”

When talking about the McGregor vs. Chandler bout, Aspinall couldn’t decide who was the clear favorite.

“Michael Chandler has a wild style,” he clarified. He plays the game with the mindset that he must either knock them out or get knocked out, which makes it extremely risky when facing a powerful opponent like Conor McGregor.
