Tokyo Paralympics: Sumit Antil wins GOLD with World Record throw; Gambhir, KL Rahul hail javelin thrower- India’s paralympic contingent continues to make huge inroads and Sumit Antil was the latest to finish on the podium at the Tokyo Paralympics. The javelin thrower broke the world record in three of his five attempts at the Olympic Stadium, to clinch India’s second gold medal at the Games, following Avani Lekhara’s efforts earlier today. Following Sumit’s achievement, the cricket fraternity led by Gautam Gambhir, Harsha Bhogle, Kl Rahul and Co.
India at Tokyo Paralympics: Gautam Gambhir was quick to send Sumit Antil his heartfelt wishes, tweeting, “An Indian throw has hit another golden mark! India is elated today #SumitAntil”. Harsha Bhogle also expressed his delight at Sumit’s exploits on social media. Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul also congratulated the javelin thrower along with other medallists at the Tokyo Paralympics.
