Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Day 2 Indians in action: Bhavina claims epic win over Megan Shackleton, keeps progression hopes alive- Bhavina Patel bounced back in style on Day 2 of the Tokyo Paralympics, as she claimed a convincing 3-1 win over Great Britain’s Megan Shackleton. Competing in Class 4, Patel clinched a hard-fought game, after the scores were tied 1-1. The Indian paddler however stepped up in adversity and took the next two sets to clinch her first win in Tokyo, keeping her hopes of progression alive. The 34-year-old had lost her opener against China’s Zhou Ying but did well to correct her errors and return to winning ways.

On Wednesday, paddler Sonalben Manubhai Patel suffered a close defeat against China’s Qian Li by 3-2 in her opening match of Group D in women’s singles – Class 3. She will play her next group stage game on Thursday, 5:10 PM IST.
