TNPL 2021: Murali Vijay, Anirudha Srikantha withdraw from Tamil Nadu Premier League; Report- Tamil Nadu Premier League superstar batsman Murali Vijay and his Ruby Trichy Warriors teammate Anirudha Srikanth have pulled out/ withdrawn from the TNPL 2021 due to personal reasons. The development comes as a piece of bad news for the franchise as the two players were the key performers for RTW last season. S Kesav Krishna and all-rounder Varin Totadri have been roped in as a replacement.
“Due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances we couldn’t get both the stalwarts (Vijay and Anirudha) available for the tournament. We needed certain gaps to be filled so that’s one of the reasons why we’ve gone for the two replacements, Varun Totadri and Kesav. I hope they fit the bill and whenever given an opportunity they’ll do well for the franchise,” said RTW mentor Sreekumar Nair as quoted by Sports Tiger.
