Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is keen to reunite with PSG forward Kylian Mbappe next season. Mbappe is out of contract with PSG next summer. He is unlikely to sign a new deal with the Ligue 1 giants, leaving him a free agent.
While it’s unclear where Kylian Mbappe will end up, his former PSG boss Tuchel has joked about wanting to take him to Germany.
While Mbappe has often been linked with a move to Real Madrid, Tuchel has joked that he is ready to persuade Mbappe to move to Allianz Arena instead.
Mbappe has been a Real Madrid target for many seasons now. Talks with the club were said to have been finalised in the summer of 2022. But Mbappe surprised everyone by signing a new deal with PSG.
The Los Blancos have reportedly given up on trying to land the World Cup winner. This could open the door for German giants Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga team already has a prolific striker in the form of England international Harry Kane on their books.

Will go & get Kylian Mbappe myself: Tuchel
“Mbappe free next year? Yes, He will play for us. Kylian is Kylian, he is very intelligent. We had a good relationship. If he wants to come to Bayern, I will go and get him myself. When he wants something, he gets it,” the Bayern boss told Canal+ as cited by GOAL.
In June this year, Mbappe told PSG that he did not want to extend his current deal, which ends next summer.
In order to prevent PSG from losing the Frenchman for free, the French club agreed to a potentially record-breaking deal of £259 million ($328.4m) with Saudi giants Al-Hilal.
However, after Mbappe refused to move to Saudi Arabia, the French champions sidelined him for the start of the pre-season.
Now, it looks like Mbappe will leave PSG at the end of the current season. However, it remains to be seen whether Mbappe responds to Tuchel’s call if Bayern Munich indeed decide to pursue the Frenchman.
