Thiago Messi may be following in his renowned father Lionel Messi’s footsteps. The 10-year-old has been training with Inter Miami’s youth team. Thiago was named to the U12 squad despite having never been assigned to a club. Thiago’s name was mentioned by Inter Miami without the pomp and fanfare that his father received upon joining.
In July, the 10-year-old, who will turn 11 on November 2, moved to Fort Lauderdale with his two younger brothers and parents. The Messi family has captivated the interest of the American football community since their arrival.
The Messi family, including Antonella Roccuzzo, has been frequent at Inter Miami games in recent weeks. Allowing them to celebrate League Cup, U.S. Open Cup, and MLS victories.
Naturally, Inter Miami’s No. 10 has generated a lot of buzz and interest. Both his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo, and their three sons have been in the spotlight. While his children are much too little to take the pitch with their father, Messi has made a point of remembering them.
Thiago Messi plans to work his way through the Fort Lauderdale youth system. With David Beckham and Phil Neville’s sons, Romeo (now at Brentford) and Harvey, signing contracts with Inter Miami.
