The fighter’s ethnic heritage is reflected in the colourful belt’s finely placed decorations.
Fans of Rodrguez and UFC content creators responded favourably to the revelation. Ben ‘The Bane’ Davis, a content creator, responded by calling the belt “incredible”.
On the other side, a sizable portion of UFC supporters online also berated and made fun of the fighter for altering an interim belt by saying, “That belt uses They/Them Pronouns”, while someone else called it a fake belt.

Rodrguez customising an interim belt, which to the majority of UFC fans is not as significant or as big of an accomplishment as a “real” belt, confused several fans. Fans of the Mexican fighter will be hoping he puts up a strong performance in the upcoming main event, despite the belt being a novel and intriguing marketing concept.
Both Rodrguez supporters and those who produce UFC content reacted pleasantly to the news. The belt was described as “incredible” in response by content creator Ben ‘The Bane’ Davis.
On the other hand, a significant part of UFC fans online also criticised and made fun of the fighter for changing an interim championship.
