The Hundred: Rashid Khah shows his love for Afghanistan by painting flag on his face – Afghanistan star cricketer Rashid Khan showed his patriotism and love for Afghanistan by painting his country’s flag on face during The Hundred Eliminator.
Turning up for Trent Rockets, Rashid was spotted with a tiny Afghanistan flag on his cheek against Southern Brave in The Hundred Eliminator.
The Taliban have taken over Afghanistan including the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) premises as the country is in a state of turmoil.
Rashid, who has always called for peace went a step ahead and showed his support by painting Afghanistan’s flag on his face.
On Afghanistan’s Independence Day, Rashid took to Twitter and wrote, “Today let us take some time to value our nation and never forget the sacrifices.
“We hope and pray for the peaceful , developed and United nation INSHALLAH #happyindependenceday.”
Rashid along with three other Afghanistan cricketers – Mohammed Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Qais Ahmad are participating in The Hundred.
Rashid and Nabi will soon join the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) camp for the second leg of the IPL 2021.
