Terrence vs. Errol Spence Jr. 2 Rematch Clause Activated: More Details

Errol Spence Jr. should exercise caution before invoking the rematch clause for a second bout against Terence Crawford

Brian “BoMac” McIntyre, a former trainer of Terence Crawford, is training with Chris Eubank Jr. in Manchester, England in preparation for the British fighter’s rematch against Liam Smith this weekend.

Errol Spence Jr. was given a harsh warning by McIntyre about using a rematch clause against Crawford while he was there. This occurs after “Bud” knocked Spence out three times on his way to a commanding ninth-round TKO victory, making him the new undisputed welterweight world champion.

Errol Spence Jr. should exercise caution before invoking the rematch clause for a second bout against Terence Crawford, according to Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre, who believes the outcome will be the same as that of their previous battle on July 29.

Michael Benson tweeted today stating, “ Errol Spence has now officially activated his rematch clause to fight Terence Crawford again next, Crawford’s trainer Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre has confirmed.”

Fans have been excited, upon hearing the recent update, and they expressed it via their reaction:

BoMac thinks Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) will suffer because Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) will fight even better the second time around. With his great sense of pride, Spence is confident that he can improve his strategy and compete against Crawford at 154 pounds. Additionally, Spence can potentially earn up to $20 million in the rematch with Crawford. With that type of money, Spence won’t turn it down. It makes sense why Spence lost the fight if the rumours that he entered camp at 190 pounds are accurate.

If Crawford had started training camp at 190 pounds, he would be in serious trouble. It won’t work to lose 50 pounds of fat before a significant fight.
